Calling all volunteers!
If you enjoy working with older adults, are looking for a way to make a positive difference in our community, and want to set your own schedule, then becoming a TRAIL volunteer might be for you.
Volunteers are needed to provide important member services like these:
- Transportation to and from medical appointments, church services, and other events
- Simple house chores, such as moving furniture or changing smoke detector batteries
- Light yard work, such as raking leaves or weeding flower beds
- Tech support, like trouble-shooting home computers, TVs, or other electronics
TRAIL also trains interested volunteers for special services, such as medical advocacy and our Rise & Shine program, for members seeking a daily check-in service.
Besides the satisfaction of helping others, TRAIL volunteers enjoy being able to set their own schedules – doing what they like, whenever their time permits. Some volunteers do a lot, some do a little, but all are greatly valued and appreciated by our members!
Interested? Sign up for one of our monthly Volunteer Orientation sessions by visiting the Calendar page on our website. Or call the TRAIL office at (319) 800-9003 for more information. We’d love to have you join us!
