TRAIL Board elects new members and officers

The TRAIL Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of five new Board members, who began their three-year terms in January 2024:

• Bob Brooks, retired UI Facilities Management administrator, former co-owner of Iowa City’s Brown Street Inn
• Jim Carey, attorney, First Vice President and Trust Officer at MidWestOne Bank
• Patricia Heiden, retired Executive Director of Oaknoll Retirement Community, former Johnson County Supervisor
• Scott Maiers, Community Relations Director, Solon Retirement Community 
• Christine Scheetz, owner of Senior Care Authority, providing eldercare consulting throughout Eastern and Central Iowa

Board officers recently elected to serve one-year terms in 2024 include:

• Allison Andrews, Secretary
• Bob Reynolds, Treasurer
• Susan Shullaw, Co-chair
• Alex Taylor, Co-chair
