TRAIL of Johnson County has an immediate opening for a Member and Volunteer Services Coordinator to serve as the organization’s helpful concierge and more. Reporting to Executive Director Bob Untiedt, this position will onboard new TRAIL members, coordinate provision of volunteer services, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate records in the TRAIL database.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with at least three years’ customer service experience, a high level of computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Integrity and confidentiality are a must. Experience in a nonprofit environment, education in social services or health care, and a passion for working with older adults are desirable.

This is a part-time position (20-25 hours/week) with a starting wage range of $15 - $16.50/hour. The successful candidate will have the option of working remotely from home or from the TRAIL office in the Iowa City-Johnson County Senior Center, which is currently closed to the public due to the pandemic. A retirement benefit is available but we are not able to offer health insurance.
