TRAIL receives Big Grove for Good grant

TRAIL of Johnson County has received a generous 2026 grant from the Big Grove for Good Foundation. The $8,000 award will help fund TRAIL’s Supported Membership Program, which makes TRAIL memberships available at low or no cost to Johnson County seniors with limited financial resources.

“TRAIL is committed to helping older adults age successfully in the places they call home, regardless of their economic circumstances,” said TRAIL Executive Director Christine Scheetz. “We are enormously grateful to Big Grove for helping TRAIL fulfill this key aspect of our mission.

"This grant will allow us to continue to assist seniors with volunteer help, social connections, educational opportunities, and other critical services that support active, independent living.”
